WLA ACT held its Law Week dinner last Tuesday, 11 May 2021 at the Boat House.

The event sold out quickly and we were delighted to be joined by members of the ACT bar, Magistrates court and a variety of local law firms.

Guest speaker Bri Lee spoke about her experience in the legal industry and justice system, as a lawyer, victim and now an advocate for law reform. ACT Victims of Crime commissioner Heidi Yates closed out the night, and spoke about the legal issued facing victims of crime and the opportunities available for members of the community to enact change. WLA ACT would like to thank Bri and Heidi again for sharing their experiences and insight.
