Clay Sculpting and Wine!

The Women Lawyers Association of the ACT is pleased to announce our Clay Sculpting and Wine Networking Event!

The event has been organised in collaboration with the Social Creative and combines creativity and wine as we create up to 3 decorative pieces using non-fire clay for a fun networking evening. We will be guided by the very creative Gen and Maria at the Social Creative.

The event details are as follows: 

·       When: 28 April 2022

·       Where: Bootleg Bar Canberra

·       Costs: $60 for WLA ACT members and $80 for non-members (Tickets can be purchased via the links or through our Get Tickets page).

The cost of the tickets will include:

  1. Sculpting materials and supplies for each attendee and a guided tutorial by the Social Creative to create up to 3 clay pieces

  2. A wine on arrival for each attendee

International Women's Day Breakfast

The Women Lawyers Association of the ACT and Burley Griffin Chambers are pleased to present breakfast with Chief Justice Murrell of the ACT Supreme Court to celebrate International Women's Day 2022.

International Women's Day celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, and is a day to celebrate women's achievements and to continue the campaign for women's equality. The campaign theme for International Women's Day 2022 is #BreakTheBias.

We are delighted to have Chief Justice Murrell speaking at the event. Her Honour is the first woman to be appointed Chief Justice of the ACT Supreme Court, and was sworn in as Chief Justice in 2013.

Breakfast will be provided with your ticket. Information in relation to dietary requirements will be collected at the time of ticket purchase. Some outdoor seating will be available at the event, however we anticipate that the speaking portion of the event will occur indoors with restrictions in place according to the current public health directions.

Please note that all of WLA ACT's events are child friendly. We also note that photos will be taken at the event for our social media and website. If you do not want your photo taken please just let the photographer know. If you have any questions, please email events@wlaact.org.au.

Members’ tickets are available at a cost of $20.

Non-members are welcome at a cost of $30.
